WESTFIELD FARM PERMISSIVE WALK - N33
CONSERVATION WALKS: NEW PERMISSIVE ACCESS
Andrew Baxter, the owner of Westfield Farm, Fimber, has entered into an CSS/ELS/HLS agreement with Natural England on part of his land, in order to carry out conservation management. Part of the Agreement is to create public access to provide opportunities for people to enjoy the countryside.
The access provided is permissive only and will not become a permanent right of way.
Description:
Walk northward past Fimber village hall, keeping left at a fork in the road.
Turn right through a kissing gate AFTER a property on your right. Turn left along the old railway line and walk around its right hand curve.
At the sign for the end of the access land follow the boundary fence to the left. At the road turn left and walk the few metres to the entrance to the next section of the open access land.
Keeping to the boundary, head generally southward to the line of an ancient earthwork.
Now head eastward to return to your stating point.
Other Walks in the East Riding
The East Riding offers a variety of walks around the East Riding catering for all ages. The Walks range from easy 2 mile walks to strenuous 25 mile walks.
Use the available link to access the information on the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's website. The search facility allows you to limit your search to specific walk types and categories (such as length, grade and features). This makes it possible to tailor the search to find the most relevant walks.
For each of the categories, select the walk criteria you would like to search on by typing in the text or selecting from the drop down lists. Once you have selected all the categories, click on the search button. The search will display all walks that meet the criteria and will make available, if possible, walk maps.
This LINK will provide more details.
