A New Beginning

The Yorkshire Wolds Railway was formed in October 2008, exactly 50 years after the closure

of the Driffield to Malton railway.

Its aim is to restore at least part of of the line as a heritage attraction

(with steam in due course), working with all interested parties to enhance tourism

                                    in the East Riding.

In 2010, Malton Dodger Ltd was formed to take over the project and operate as

                                    "Yorkshire Wolds  Railway".

Fimber Parish Council enthusiastically supports this exciting project.
